ADvancing States is pleased to announce the states that have been selected to receive intensive, short-term, “quick strike” technical assistance for their ARPA HCBS initiatives under a program generously supported by The SCAN Foundation, Arnold Ventures, The John A. Hartford Foundation, and the Milbank Memorial Fund.

For this program, states were selected for two different tracks.  For Track 1, five states will receive assistance in developing a comprehensive Project Management Plan for some or all of their ARPA HCBS initiatives.

Track 1 States

  • Hawaii
  • New Jersey
  • North Dakota
  • South Carolina
  • Texas

For Track 2, twelve states were selected to participate in one of two Affinity Groups on initiatives of common interest across the states: Direct Service Workforce Recruitment and Retention Strategies and Enabling Technology to Expand Access to HCBS.  The selected states will participate in six virtual bi-weekly meetings - facilitated by TA consultants - where they will learn from each other, share common challenges and brainstorm innovative solutions.
